My mother asked me to make a film about an unusual archive she kept of my siblings’ and my childhoods. In preparation for the film, I collected and explored numerous fragments my family left behind in search for images of a childhood home I do not remember and cannot physically access. Along this journey, I stumbled upon the origin of my mother’s archiving practice, a forgotten love poem written ten years before my birth.
