The Return

Fearless both in form and content, ‘The Return’ shows a writer-director struggling with her profound sense of loss after the sudden death of her father, who dies while visiting his homeland of India. Hena wrestles with coming to terms with their strained relationship, by the only way she knows how: making a film. Through analysing herself and her memories, and with new discoveries, Hena attempts to continue to try to understand her father, even after his death.
