(THIS FILM WAS PART OF OUR 2022 FESTIVAL LINEUP AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON THE SLAMDANCE CHANNEL) Oreo is a Trilogy of vignettes - Black Card, Girls, The Other. They feature women of color at various ages and stages of their lives as they experience the moments of being on the "outside." Though a universal message, Oreo shows that these themes are often compounded by class, race, religion, and colorism. Here, we focus on those moments where they choose how to conform or not to conform by standing in their otherness using humor and surrealism.
