A fully improvised absurdist comedy of errors that lets its misfires and digressions run the show.  Tightly-wound LUCY has moved back in with her antagonistic mother after a breakup so brutal it landed her in a mental hospital. So when her new boyfriend Danny asks her to dogsit while he’s out of town helping his sister prepare for her baby’s non-denominational circumcision party, it feels like a milestone. Proof her life is back on track.  That illusion shatters when a stranger on the street recognizes Danny’s dog… as her boyfriend’s dog. Thrown into a reluctant alliance by the discovery that they’re both dating Danny, Lucy and the stranger—MECHI, a socially awkward babysitter—join forces to get revenge. But this proves easier said than done. When their early attempts at petty sabotage stall, they pivot to something that, to them, feels far more pressing: getting proof.   Why they need additional evidence to prove Danny’s two-timing when they’ve already found it in each other is… largely beside the point. Proof becomes their fixation, and they gather an increasingly unwieldy lineup of loved ones and quasi-professionals (who are often more confident than competent) to help them get it. With the supposedly expert guidance of a girlboss private investigator, they devise what everyone thinks is a foolproof plan: hiring an actress to seduce Danny. The crew piles into a van and trails him through suburbia, deploying the seductress to bait him in hopes of finally “catching him in the act.” But despite the PI’s aggressive projections of success, one failed seduction gives way to another… and another. As the operation unravels, so does Lucy and Mechi’s fragile friendship. Tensions rise as they clash over what to do next. Out of options, they crash the non-denominational circumcision party and find themselves in the one situation they hadn’t planned for: actually coming face-to-face with Danny.
